We salute the use of modern technologies to access the shale gas miles beneath our feet, all across our great country, cheaply safely and quickly. Gas can be the efficient bridge between today and a future dominated by nuclear energy generation and perhaps hydrogen.

For those concerned about CO2 emissions, gas creates far less emissions than coal. The production of local gas creates far less emissions than importing gas (after liquifying it) from far away through specialised ports and on expensive ships.

Our strategy is to encourage the British Government, which owns the gas, to issue tenders on a new ‘Cost-Plus’ basis or at a fixed price far lower than current wholesale market prices – as contracted using CFDs for wind and solar operators. This will deliver energy produced by private enterprise into the grid at a fraction of the current world price. We also support a model that will effectively provide all households within sight or sound of our operations with free energy.
